| wow. It has been a long time. Well, for anyone who still reads this thing. Life is going well. Marriage is great and my wife is awesome. Work, well it's work. Ministry is a great thing. I think sometimes the expectations you have for ministry, work, or whatever else the case may be, can be a hindrance to your actual enjoyment. I know that in my work, the expectation is to enjoy the job, make great friends with the people you work with, and not have to do much and get paid well. Does anyone else hear the brakes screeching? The wall of reality is soon approaching As far as for ministry. Anyone who is involved in ministry knows that if you let your expectations effect your emotions, you'll drop out rather fast. It's okay to have expectations, but don't think that God has your expectations high on his list of priorities. What you think should happen may not even be in his plans. Marriage. Marriage automatically comes with expectations that have been seeded into your DNA. Don't fail to the corrupt forms of miss-information on marriage. Find God's path and don't get lost in what you think it "should" look like or "should" be. I love the adventure of searching for the truth and living it out. Find joy in the pursuit of truth | | |

I am getting married in one week. That is seven days, or 168 hours, or 10,080 minutes, or 604,800 seconds. Wow. I am a little bit tired from wedding planning, moving, working, and anything else that fits in that schedule. I have great support in my soon to be wife. Rachel is great. God is more than faithful, and in the midst of the stress, frustration, or joy it's good to keep that in perspective. I wonder how many times He gives us the opportunity to learn these lessons about his character. Are we, as faliable humans, truly aware that God uses crazy, confusing, and/or calm circumstances to teach us who He is and how he wants to finish what he started through salvation.
| It is 83 days until the wedding. It is less than three months away. That is truly exciting. She is amazing. Life is interesting here. I have a lot going on right now. Rachel, ministry, work, family, maintaining some semblance of friendships within that schedule. No real complaints though. There are some changes ahead for me in the future and who knows what else God has in store for me and my beautiful bride to be. Be praying for me, and definitely for her. You know she puts up with a lot lol.
If you would to attend my wedding please e-mail or call me with your address. The wedding will be March 3rd. love you all

| - Requiem (The Fifth) I like Pudding. I miss it.
When I have a lack of to desire to read my bible, no matter how close I feel to God, I don't feel like I am pursuing him. It doesn't seem like I am giving Him what he is worth or that I am honoring Him. I don't feel frustrated or discouarged by ti, but I don't feel satisfied. I bet it's a great thing that I am not complacent, but ya know. Such is life. That's it.
| - Happy Birthday From Sesame Street
Psa 139:14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. 139:15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Thats a good birthday verse huh? I like it. Happy birthday to me. Have a great halloween, or as some of you like to call it, a great Joey's birthday. Yay. =) I know that no one calls it that, but just humor me.
